Denise M Barcomb
Denise came to Reno in 1997 as part of a career move to join a high-tech start-up. Originally born and raised in Maine, Denise is one of a family of ten, and decided to follow her high-tech career by moving west in 1991 to Colorado. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Denise fell in love with the mountains, the wide open spaces, and the sunshine. She enjoyed over six years living in CO when a new start-up opportunity presented itself in Reno. Single at the time and feeling the wanderlust, she decided to write the next chapter of her life in Nevada.

Once here, she realized that Nevada held all the beauty and opportunity she had left behind in Colorado, and more importantly, she met her now husband, Dale. That sealed the deal. They were married in 2001 and she has now been in Reno for 20 years, gratefully calling Reno her home.

Denise has a varied work history in high-volume purchasing, merchandising, marketing, sales, retail and business development. She enjoys the intrigues of business development and the challenges that go hand-in-hand with building just about anything … relationships, careers, friendships, and businesses.

Denise has a strong love of the outdoors and enjoys cycling, mountain biking, back-packing and camping, skiing, golf, traveling and more. In addition, she enjoys gardening and reading and hopes one day to cycle, hike (or do both!) across the USA as well as Europe, Australia and New Zealand. She serves on the board of the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, is a Rotarian and dedicates a great deal of her time to serving the northern Nevada community.
For now she has her sights set on building a ground-up business and looks forward to one day making ‘UM’ a household brand.

Dale Barcomb
Married to Denise for 16 years and celebrating 40 plus years in Nevada, Dale is thrilled to call Reno his home. Dale is a graduate of the University of Northern VT and pursued graduate work at UNR.

With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Dale served numerous positions from cook, service, and supervisory roles to retail operations and restaurant management.

A successful 7-Eleven franchisee for the past 16 years, Dale takes advantage of any opportunity to enjoy Nevada’s beautiful outdoors through biking, skiing, hiking and kayaking, among many other things. He looks forward to a new UMazing adventure and meeting all the downtown residents and future friends by providing a unique and exciting environment of what you want, when you want it.
